##It was the first day of the Lunar New Year, my family and me went to temples to pray and to pay respects to the gods.It was 2.30pm when we finished praying and off we went to Marina Mandarin Hotel to have our lunch. The hotel was indeed a very beautiful sight.=) We had buffet for lunch, the food was really yummy and delicious!!
##AT 6pm, we went to my grand mum's house(paternal side), and paid respects to my aunties , uncle n my grand mum. I received many red packets. We had steamboat for our dinner. It was really very yummy!!The second day of the Lunar New Year, we went to my grand mum's house(maternal side), to pay respects to my relatives and elderly. I also received many red packets. XD
##On 9 Feb 08, Saturday, my aunt and uncle brought me and my brother out to Sentosa to have some fun instead of having to stay at home. Upon reaching there, it was indeed a beautiful sight!=) It had been some time since i have been to Sentosa it really had changed lots. We played many kind of stuffs. Overall, the trip to Sentosa was very fun and i got many red packets on the recent two days!! It was really fun and had enjoyed myself very much!!!=)Labels: Chinese New Year Holidays

##The evening sun cast long shadows on the ground.The slanting rays of the settin sun gave a warm orange tinge to the sky.I was on my way home after visting my friend's house.Feeling hungry,I decided to get something to eat at the near-by shopping centre before heading home.I went to MOS Burger, bought a cheese burger and sat down to enjoy it.As it turned out,I could not.As soon as I sat down,I became aware of a group of threee guys.I could see their eyes staring at a young lady intensly who is sitting at the table right next to mine.##They sat close alll around the lady.She seems terrified. "Why did you stare at me just now?"asked a small looking fellow.From this moment,I knew that this was the customary way for them to pick a fight.After a few moments,the little fellow contiuned "better be careful."The lady nooded and got up to go.But soon enough,the most aggressive looking of the lot asked,"do you have any money?"She shook her head.Then he took her by the shirt, "you did better give me whatever you have, or you are dead,"he said with a snarl.She took out her wallet and opened it.The little fellow grabbed it from her hand,took whatever she had, even her fare card and her watch.##Right after they took the valuables,they immediately dashed out of MOS Burger and ran as fast as their legs could carry them."Help!" she yelled with all her mightI quickly stood up and ran as fast as I could to chase after them. Some of the passer-bys also help to chase after the gang.Too bad for them, it was a blind alley. I called the police on my moblie phone.In a twinkle of an eye,the policemen arrived.##Out came the cuffs.The valuables were retrived , law and order was restored.The young lady thanked me whole-heartily and even offered to whip up a delicious meal for me. Its my 1st 3weeks in Pei Hwa Secondary School..I made many new frendz durin my 1st 3 weeks in school..Now everything have changed, the environment, the subjects & of course new frendz n teachers.So i have to adapt to all these changes..Although it is diffcult at 1st, i know i can do it!Go 4 it! Well, i find my classmates very nice & some like to joke a lot. All the frendz i have r all reali nice=) I like the teachers..They all are reali SUPER nice & kind!!They r Miss Lin, Miss Khor, Miss Seet.Their lessons quite interestin too!!Overall, being in 1E5 is kinda cool to0~XD...Well, I hope that I will have more frendz. I celebrated my grandmum's brithday on the 18Jan 08, Friday.(A early Celebration her birthday on the 20 Jan 08) We went to Parkway Parade to have dinner at the Parkway Thai Restuarant.My aunts , uncles , cousins , grandpa , brother , parents & me were gathered there at around 7.30pm. After everyone gathered , we started on our dinner. (By the way, we havin buffet dinner=P)Wow, I can tell u that the food there is really VERY YUMMY!! XP U should really go & try , i STORNGLY RECOMMEND u..Haha =p And the desserts there is always very YUMMY!! Well, i like eating desserts. Haha...They hav many kinds of thai desserts & food too! They also hav the Tom Yam Soup & many other stuff too..Well i hav drank the Tom Yum Soup, & its rather SPICY too! After havin to complete eatin my dinner, i &my brother went to the cake shop to purchase a cake for my grandmum.After purchasing, i went back to the restaurant & get the staff to help us prepare the candles & lit them up! I brought the cake to the table & we sang the birthday song all together. After singin the song, my grandmum cut the cake & i served the cake.I could see that my grandmum was quite touched & thankful.Well, i felt very happy as well & hav lots of fun too!=) On saturday n sunday i stayed at home doin my homework. Durin dinner tiem, i n my family of 4 went out to have dinner.=)

##It was a lovely evening.The sky was ablaze with the fire of the setting sun which cast long shadows on the ground.I was on the way home after a swim at the country club.Feeling hungry,I decided to get something to eat at the near-by shophouses before heading home.As i walked past a deserted shophouse,I saw a dog.It laid in the shade of the shophouse.I could see that it had not eaten for many days,it was just skin and bones.Its fur was dirty and untidy,and it was full of sores, causing the dog to look very unpleasant.
##Its eyes reflected the look of desperation.I thought that it had probably felt that there was nothing left to live for,having been abandoned by owners who had looked after it from the time it was a puppy,and whom it had loved and guarded all its life.It looked at me with its sad eyes as if pleading with me to do something.I felt very sad but I was not sure what was the best thing to do.
##Looking about,I saw a restaurant selling nasi padang.I checked my wallet and saw thatI had two dollars.Scurrying towards the restaurant,I bought a packet of rice with some curry and fish.Then, I walked over to the dog,it laid still as I placed the food before it,then it opened its eyes weakly.It stood up and ate heartily and, as if to thank me,gave a few weak wags of its tail.
##It warmed my heart to see the dog eat and even though I was hungry at that time,my hunger disappeared.As soon as the dog had finished eating,I called the SPCA on my mobile phone.In the nick of time,they arrived.The attendant thanked me and led the dog away.After it was led away,I walked home hoping that it will be healthy once again and may it lead a happy life.Labels: A Scruffy Dog
